Los Angeles, CA (January 22, 2024) – Dominican Republic’s breakout rap star, J Noa, receives her first nomination from Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro under the category Breakthrough Female Artist, positioning herself as one of the most influential rappers in Latin America. The 36th edition of Univisión’s first music award show of the year will take place on Thursday, February 22 at 7 P.M. EST and 6 P.M. CST and broadcast live from Kaseya Center in Miami, FL. The winners will be chosen by public vote beginning Monday, January 22nd through Sunday, February 4th.
2023 was a major year for the young rapper, J Noa made her debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk, which went viral and attracted the attention of many of her famous colleagues. That same week, she received her first Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best Song Rap/Hip Hop for “Autodidacta,” the focus track from her acclaimed debut EP, Autodidacta, and she was part of the third edition of the biggest music festival in LATAM through digital platforms, Suena en TikTok On top of that, J Noa garnered recognition from various prominent media such as Rolling Stone, Billboard, NPR, Ebro Darden, Vibe Magazine, Complex, Pop Sugar, CNN en Español, Univision, Telemundo and People en Español, to name a few. ? |
